Removed clocks today to redo mounting rubbers and sort oil pressure light. Bulb hadn’t gone as suspected, it was a broken wire so fitted a spare.

Made and fettled nosecone brackets. All fitted up properly. Have dismantled it and sprayed brackets. Rubbers fitted to cone and headlight bracket stiffened up so should be a simple assembly tomorrow. Once that is done I will post some pics before giving her a thorough clean and polish

Managed to pick up a set of front footpeg Mounting Rubbers and a set of Handlebar mounting rubbers today. I was surprised they are still available. Also got the front wheel cover from a Y model that fits on the right hand side of the wheel when twin discs are fitted so happy days there.
Also got a full set of spokes for the front wheel for £35.…[Read more]

Well with Tango’s twin now running fine I can get back on to finishing mine off. I did manage to adjust the replacement seat so it fits and closes properly. Not much of a job but another off the list of things to do.

The reality of the situation is he had paid a 3rd party a fee to fill in the forms for him and send them to him. The fee coincidently happened to be exactly the same as the passport renewal fee so as not to raise suspicion that you may be paying a 3rd party. So all in all it has cost Tango £145 to renew his passport.
Passport office know about…[Read more]

Hi Belgiantwin.
I must ask if you did your tests when the engine was at running temperature. I did not know but apparently this does make a difference.

We did a few other minor bits too. We made sure the carb rubbers were sealed and carbs fastened on well. We tweaked the carb mixtures with a ‘Colourtune’ plug. We fitted a return cable. All these things combined help to make the bike run much smoother. Tango is going to check the voltage (before starting her) then take a decent ride and check the…[Read more]

Well the results of today are asw follows;
We did various readings but could not get what the manual was saying in general as we found it confusing and ambiguous and probably did not know what we were doing.
What we did get was;
With the engine running and warm all 3 yellow wires from the main coil gave a reading of around 14V (ac?). When revs…[Read more] - Load More
