Well I did get to see Lonesome this weekend to give the Z750 a run. Nice little ride, and pleasant converstion for an hour or so, just what the doctor ordered lol.

If you want to send them to me I can put them up in my garage for later use for anyone who needs them. Unless someone else has a more pressing need.

Coalville didn’t get my presence if it did happen. I’m sure Phil would have told us all if anything was sorted.
Keep meaning to drop by Lonesome, maybe this weekend to give the bike one of its last runs of the year.

Welcome Gaz, Great introduction and good find on the exhaust jigs. I’m sure someone here will know about the petcock, what’s wrong with the old one and could it be repaired??

TBH it’s probably not worth trying. Being a lazy sod I looked at mine several times with a view to in situ carb work. It took less than 20 minutes to get them off when I actually got round to doing it.
With the carbs off you can set them up with plenty of room to work around them, clean and repair if necessary.

All fixed. Looks a nice bike.

I fitted taper bearings in my headstock. I have the bearing numbers somewhere. They were a straight swap with no mods needed.

Will post numbers ASAP so you can see if they can be matched up. The original kit of bearings was supplied to me by KaptainKwak

Would go there but I don’t have a passport 😎 and I don’t want to learn a new language (I do know a few words in t’ local dialect like Whippet and eebagoom). 😆

I think Phil already has a bike, and may not have the cash, but the rest of the criteria is him lol

If you can fit the stems, I’d go with that. 0.5mm off each side doesn’t sound a lot, but there is a lot of stress put on those yokes with road bumps and stopping happening at the same time. The metal is old, and I’d like to keep all the material I could there if it was me.

Therein lies the problem for me, the ignition switch has been replaced with an aftermarket part.
