Kaptainkwak replied to the topic 1982 Z750 CSR Rear Sprocket in the forum Technical Garage 6 years, 11 months ago
16/38 is the standard setup. In order to increase crusing speed you are right to increase the front sprocket size or reduce the rear sprocket size. The maximum you can fit on the front is 17 tooth. I have this with a 38 tooth rear and can cruise happily around 70mph. I am looking to improve on this by reducing the rear sprocket to 35 or even 33 tooth.

Yes you are right Michael did mention this. One of the German club members makes these when there is sufficient demand for them. I have a spare set here for such purposes as yours which I can let you have if Michael cannot supply at the moment and I will replace them next time they are being made.
Looking back to previous page on this thread…[Read more]

Hi Ankargren
Unfortunately we do not have software on the site to show this video. I am looking into it.
I have managed to download the video so I have seen it and heard it running. It sounds nice to me.
Is it the rubber boots from the Airbox to carbs you are looking for?

Michael has an amazing collection of bikes.
My collection is al Kawasakis. I have a KX65, ZRX1200R and 7 twins in various states of build. My main ride at the moment is the CSR twin but I am currently restoring a UK B1 ans getting ready to do a K1 belt drive.

Hi Mark,
welcome !On the german Twin website there is a story about the starter clutch repair with a lot of pics.
https://www.z750twin.de/anlasserfreilauf.htmBe aware that the “body” of the starter clutch may have a crack. It is hard to see, because the metal sheet cover sits over it. Check carefully, the crack is often right there, where the…[Read more]

Hi Mark and welcome to our site. I’m sure we can help you through any problems. The starter clutch is a regular issue with these bikes. If you take it off you will hopefully be able to fit a refurb kit and away you go. We need to see and know a bit more before we can advise.
Whereabouts are you from?

Hi Marko.

Can you private message me your address please in a so I can get price for postage for the…[Read more]

It looks good to me Marko.
Check the bores carefully as oversize pistons and rings are very hard to find and usually very expensive. Like i say i do have standard ones in my stock.
I will have to check on the price of the studs and will let you know

Hi Lonesome Twins,
some of you are looking for more power out of the Twin ?
Me too !One thing is essential for that and that is a modified intake camshaft.
Some of you know already, that the exhaust camshaft can be modified easily and used as intake camshaft. It is working but not perfect. My plan is to get five (5) intake camshafts produced,…[Read more]

Hi Marko,
I prefer the VESRAH gasket sets. Not always easy to get, around 80,- Euros and pay attention to order the one for the LTD, not the B ones. It is about different gaskets of these models.
I don’t use the Athena stuff.
In the last time a no-namegasket-set shows up in the market. Haven’t tested it, but had it in my hands. Well, looks…[Read more] -

Hi Marko
The most commonly available complete gasket sets are Athena and these can be purchased for around £50 plus postage from ebay.. However some folk do not like the Athena head gasket. Our twins have a known issue of the head gasket leaking oil at the middle front. One possible cause of this is the head retaining studs stretching. High…[Read more]

Hi there,
the HIFLO HF126 or the K+N KN-126 are the correct ones for the Twins.
Cheers, Michael
PS: Pay attention to the flat washer between inside rubber ring of the oil filter and the spring.

Well, earlier posted pics are not visible anymore.
Ok, new ones 😉
The “black” pics were taken by a professional photographer at an event in 2018:Changed the location to my barn and took a photo by myself just a few days ago.
I’ve swapped the exhaust and need to make a nicer holder for it.In Germany that swap needs to be TÜV approved,…[Read more]
