Driving in Netherlands
If you’re driving in the Netherlands your checklist requirements are:
• A valid UK driving licence – both the photo and paper parts
• A GB sticker on the back of your car – unless your car has ‘Euro-plates’ (number-plates that show a circle of 12 stars on a blue background)
• Your motor insurance certificate and V5 regis…[Read more] -

I have been looking at driving abroad in the 4 countries we will be visiting. I have taken extracts from the RAC website and doctored them to apply to motorcycles. I am going to post these up but as they are dated 2013 I would appreciate comments from anyone, especially those who ride/have ridden in these countries. Once we are happy we have…[Read more]

I must be honest Michael I hate apple with a passion because they want to control your world. I have my Iphone and as a phone etc I find it great. Apple equipment is great quality that I cannot question but I do refuse to be a slave to apple world

Good news indeed Marko. Toeknee is from Glasgow in Scotland so will be making a long trip. Who knows yet with mileage as we are doing a good few miles on a ferry. Does that count? Also he is not riding a twin so even if he does more miles (which I doubt) he probably won’t get that trophy.
I think Tango meant both ways not each way. Even so it is…[Read more]

Ahem. I have an iphone 😆
The trike will be a great challenge and probably based on the CSR. I am looking forward to it but I do have a simpler challenge for my CSR that may just come first 😀

Braided hoses only really make a difference if your rubber hoses are quite old. When the rubber deteriorates an amount of the pressure applied at the lever is lost with the hose wall expanding. When they are new there is nothing between them as far as performance goes.

Sam (Tango’s wife) has a full UK bike licence and has owned many bikes in her time. She is a very good rider and currently owns a 600 Ninja and a Virago 535. Unfortunately Sam is a tall girl so struggles to be confident on a tall bike. Her Ninja has been lowered quite a lot. She has sat on my CSR before but as they are a heavy bike I can…[Read more]

That is a lovely looking bike Michael and I am sure I would have chanced buying it like you did. It is a shame you had so many little problems but well done for getting her roadworthy again. I too am looking forward to meeting Maria and her twin so my fingers are crossed for you both.

I am impressed with that tool Michael. Have you posted details? I think I am going to get one as I have very little faith in the standard crimp type connectors

That’s awesome news Beef. M&P do both battery and coils and are reasonable with their prices. Service there is pretty good too

Hi Marko
I sit here amazed. You are coming to Belgium? Toeknee is coming too and was probably up for farthest travelled but he could not compete with your journey and would gladly concede that award to you. I am also excited about seeing an S1 twin 😀
