Wow so she wasn’t just a fling then. I was on course to build a 750 twin hardtail but have moved that project on to A N Other member to satisfy his desires. What his space . . .

Managed to get a bit more done today. I’ve removed the CSR forks etc, cleaned and greased the Headstock bearings and fitted the refurbed Y1 forks. Twin discs are fitted but I need to get some more screws as these are the fine thread ones. She is starting to look a bit like a bike again.

Well guys just to keep you updated with our trip. We have struggled to find a place in Luxembourg that can accommodate us on the dates we have picked. We have however managed to make contact with Pont de Deulin in Belgium which those of you who went in 2006 should remember.
I am talking with Michael to make the arrangements and hopefully we will…[Read more]

PM sent mate. Hoggy said he has moved the electric units from under the side panels to under the seat unit and the wires are on full stretch. He said that its prob connectors pulled out. Also you have B1 electrics and an un butchered harness so shouldn’t be too difficult to sort out

That is very kind Michael. I can borrow one from my spare engine for the trip if I need to but I will want to replace it if I can because I will obviously need it one day hopefully soon

I didn’t do anything yesterday. I was tied to housework then out in the evening to watch a Barbers Shop Chorus Cottontown Chorus. They did a Meatloaf medley and it was pretty awesome.
My engineer did turn up however for a 2nd fitting of my clutch. Very promising. He had made an adaptor and with a little fettling the clutch worked. He’s gone away…[Read more]

Now Now boys your just being silly. That is not allowed when I’m not around.
Ive found the handling improves if you put all your gear on the tank and sit backwards on the pillion seat 😛 :hammer: 👿 🙄

That is fantastic Michael. Thank you for including some of the UK examples and for sharing the link.
Have I seen this bike before? No I have not in the flesh but hopefully I will if Marko manages to make it to the 2nd International bike meet in June.
I may also have some literature that could be of help to improve your data base even more. I…[Read more]

My engineer also called today to take some measurements for my hydraulic clutch conversion. All I need now is an adapting spacer making. He is on the case 😀

Oh forgot to mention I did have a slight mishap today. When Tango turned up with his recently bought engine bars I tried the left one against mine and it looked perfect.
I then tried the right one only to hear screams of “KK YOUR SPILLING ENGINE OIL ON THE FLOOR” I forgot I had leant the bike to the right hand side while taking off the left side…[Read more]

Got a bit more done today. I have fitted a refurbed starter clutch very kindly carried out by Chrislwg. It works fine by hand and I am very optimistic when I start her up again.
I have also removed the External Shift Mechanism Cover and cleaned it thoroughly before replacing the 3 seals. That is also now refitted.
Next job will be to finish off…[Read more]

Don’t you just love it when a plan comes together. If they meet or exceed preditor standard then I’m in too. We can all carry a pair to Luxembourg 🙂

Excellent report Michael and thank you. I have today used the one you sent me as a gift. I removed the flywheel without a spanner. It was very easy. I will now order the 40mm long screws. Gifts all round in Luxembourg
