Hi guys!
Finally, the bike is registered and on the road again! This weekend I was on a 250 km trip, and made it safely home. There are still a couple of issues to be addressed, first is the starter clutch: starter works fine, but the clutch is slipping. Still, I was able to start it with starter almost every time. Second issue is the petcock…[Read more] -

What a shame that is Ankargren.
Hopefully things will change and you will be able to get another 750 twin soon.
In the meantime look after yourself and hopefully we will see you back soon.
Cheers

Hi Big Chris and welcome to our site.
Yes I know the bike and I also know Edmund very well. I have supplied quite a few of the parts he needed too.
We are a quiet friendly community of like minded people who share problems and support each other to help keep these uncommon machines on the road.
I believe there was a bit of an issue when you…[Read more]

This is amazing to see Michael. I never thought your twins would ever be a vision on the race track. What a great job you’ve done.

The engine is definitely a B2 engine but the colour is B1. It is the frame that determines the model.
B1 – 000001 to 016100 inclusive
B2 – 016101 to 025700 inclusive

Kaptainkwak replied to the topic Paint code in the forum Technical Garage 6 years, 5 months ago
Paint codes have always been a big problem. We have original paint codes but there is absolutely no cross referencing to new paint codes. They are done by colour matching to original panels. If you do manage to get a colour code please share it.

Interesting. I haven’t seen that tried before. How many lugs line up?
Some have fitted G model side panels for a different look. They fit on 3 lugs.
I kinda like the 900 panels . . .

Hi Patrickp and welcome. It is always good to have new members.
Beautiful part of the country. Was down there 3 or 4 years ago on my ZRX. Was an amazing trip.
If we can help with getting her running let us know. I have quite a sunstantial stock of parts too so shout up if you need anything.
Feel free to browse and post at will.

They are out there. I would suggest contacting a seller and asking them.

We all would like NOS. Those 2 links I posted appear to list NOS at around £200. If that’s no good then it would have to be a used one. Try getting yours cleaned up, there’s is nothing to lose.

Hi Kurt and welcome. Will be good to see you around. Feel free to browse and post.
From the picture you may have a 1976 B1. That is the paint finish. We can confirm age and model from the frame number.
Cheers

Kaptainkwak replied to the topic 1982 Z750 CSR Rear Sprocket in the forum Technical Garage 6 years, 6 months ago
16/38 is the standard setup. In order to increase crusing speed you are right to increase the front sprocket size or reduce the rear sprocket size. The maximum you can fit on the front is 17 tooth. I have this with a 38 tooth rear and can cruise happily around 70mph. I am looking to improve on this by reducing the rear sprocket to 35 or even 33 tooth.

Yes you are right Michael did mention this. One of the German club members makes these when there is sufficient demand for them. I have a spare set here for such purposes as yours which I can let you have if Michael cannot supply at the moment and I will replace them next time they are being made.

Hi Ankargren
Unfortunately we do not have software on the site to show this video. I am looking into it.
I have managed to download the video so I have seen it and heard it running. It sounds nice to me.
Is it the rubber boots from the Airbox to carbs you are looking for?
