Hello everyone
There has been a few murmurs, requests and interest shown for a 750 twin meeting from both old and new members so I I’m going to organise one for later this year to which everyone is welcome.
I am proposing a meet at the Victoria Bikers Pub in Coalville, Leicestershire. I have been there on a couple of occasions and had a great t…[Read more]

Hi Blenky
I am not 100% sure that the B3/B4 needle rollers will fit straight into the B1/B2 swinging arm. However I do have a B1/B2 swinging arm with needle rollers fitted so yes it can be done. You will need the B3/B4 sleeve which I don’t have.
Cheers

Kaptainkwak replied to the topic Has anyone found different carbs to work on a Bi. in the forum How To Fix It 2 years, 4 months ago
Hi Alfredo
There are several reasons you could be getting these issue . To start I have a number of questions:
- What model of twin do you have?
- Are you using the air filter box?
- Have you replaced the carb rubbers (both sides)
- What exhaust do you have?
Cheers

Hi Karl
Sorry but somehow I missed this. Hope all is well with you.
Have you managed to get to your twin again?

Well that probably eliminates a lot. The head of the starter motor is a gear box. What you say suggests the gears have probably been removed. I do have a new starter motor head but that doen’t come cheap but should be able to supply you with any missing parts in used condition.

That’s surprising. If everything is fitted I would expect to hear chattering. Spinning freely normally happens when the chain has been removed which some people do when the clutch fails. The only other things that come to mind are a bit more serious.
Firstly it might be the large gear that engages with the starter clutch is either a wrong one or…[Read more]

152 & 155 are very healthy. In what way is the engine failing to turn? Is the starter motor sluggish or is it spinning quite freely and chattering?

Looking at the picture I would say it’s a 1982 Y1 LTD. Check the frame number in the Model ID section of the library.

I speak with Michael quite regularly. He runs the German twin site http://www.z750twin.de
Actually tried today without success. He is probably out racing his 750 twin. I will ask the question when I make contact.KK

I’ve been keeping an eye on that on ebay. Good to see you got it. I’m always interested in parts donated, swapped or bought to help keep members running. Let me know what becomes available and if you want anything and we can look to deal.

I don’t know the measurements but I can tell you they are different for different models. What model do you have?

Kaptainkwak started the topic 2 into 1 Exhaust System in the forum Bike Related Sales and Wants 2 years, 8 months ago
Here is a 2 into 1 exhaust system of unknown make. It is a very good used system. It is in good solid condition and has benefitted from a re chrome. There are a couple of minor marks which are out of sight when fitted and a couple of areas showing minor corrosion which do not affect it’s looks or performance and are easily addressable.
Bargain at…[Read more]

I can and did lol. Not sure what happened either, I only know basics.
Regarding he fuel cap I doubt that was it as the cap is there for only 2 reasons, to stop fuel slopping out and sh*t getting in. It does not seal 100% so as when the petrol is used the space is replaced with air.
It is sounding heat related. As the engine and other parts warm…[Read more]

Hi All
I have picked up an excellent condition ‘Good as New’ 2 into 2 exhaust system. It has been fitted to a bike and run for less than an hour, that’s all. It has done zero road miles. It was then replaced with a full stainless steel system bought from the SHOP.
The silencers are Marving and the dowpipes are polished Stainless Steel. There is…[Read more]

Hi Andy
If your not sure how to attack this and what all the screws do hang fire. You need to systematically go through everything one step at a time.
If I remember correctly you are running a B1 with BS38 carbs. Have you got the airbox fitted?
From the symptoms you are describing I very much doubt it is the cables. I also doubt that adjusting…[Read more]
