TangoParticipantToday I have started on the new tail piece I’m going to have to fit! I’ve bathed it and de striped it and used some thinners to get the rest of the residue of the pin stripe glue off. I have to change the tail unit because the one fitted to the Nike at the moment has had some mods done to it and has no inner lip to fit the light surround to. 🙁
Unfortunately I can no longer get the silver pin stripes that I used on my 1St paint job, so I’m going to use a Red and Silver one now and I’m going to replace the tank for one that is a little bit better than the one on now! So I’m going to have to to a full respray and pinstripe the tank in the same Red and Silver pin stripe as the new tail unit.
TangoParticipantYep fully enjoyed ourselves.
We will look forward to next year.
TangoParticipantWeather is looking as though it is going to be good for the Caveman Bash.
Should be an Excellent Rally there’s a great Metallica tribute on the outdoor stage on Saturday!
Looking forward to this! Roll on Next Thursday! 🙂
TangoParticipantI am hoping to get my wife in on this to. I’m sure with some friendly persuasion between myself and Kk we can get her on-board for a good cause!
Most likely going to be the Manchester run for us, as this is our most local.
TangoParticipantWoohoo
Bike has Passes her MOT,
So once I tax her tomorrow, I’m all legal on the road again. My Distinguished Gentleman gear is coming in through the post at a steady rate! I’m going to be set in no time at all!! 🙂
TangoParticipantI’m Going! 🙂
Will be on the Honda though!
TangoParticipantAs a second point, I had to up the jetting Do you know what jets are in your carbs?
Info on what I did is in the Tangos B1 project thread somewhere. 🙂
TangoParticipantI’ve got Gpz carbs on mine and I started it up after a few months in the garage.
A full charge in the battery is a must though, I had mine on an optimate for a couple of days just to boost and maintain the battery before trying.and the other thing with the gpz carbs is watch your choke, mine has a tendency to go to half choke on its own while your not looking!
Where is the choke lever mounted on yours?
TangoParticipantSorry I’ll be washing my hair!
I know I am likely to take much grief over this. But alas that is the weekend before I go on holiday.1)I need to keep my cash for while I’m away.
2)It’s the last day we will have to get bits sorted, because of working before we fly out Saturday Am.
TangoParticipantI picked up a set of these from EBay.
Not far off I think the exhausts are 38mm and these are 35mm but with a tap from a hammer they can be splayed out a fraction, Enough to get you out of trouble anyway.
TangoParticipantOK Now that looks complicated! I’m a little apprehensive about attempting something like this. 🙁
TangoParticipantHere is the 2nd YouTube Photo Gallery if anybody is interested.
TangoParticipantAs I returned outside to explain my findings about the misfortune of the patrons of the small and quaint fuel station, and explained the unforeseen crashing of the online payment facility! Britta told me what was Happening! 😮
Oh Dear!!
You Don’t see many old bikes around these parts … Is That Right!! 😀
Can you imagine the look of horror on their dear old faces as All of the Bikes started to Roll into their forecourt!! 😀 😀
