KK and outstanding work don’t usually go together in a sentence.

I have the Zpower aftermarket one on my bike (My coils failed the first time I rode the bike) and they have been fine for the last 7 years and nearly 100 miles (It’s really much more than that but it would only have invited some comment about lack of miles done from KK)

So did you ditch the too, roll yet Tango?

I’d have probably selected neutral rather than carry the tool roll, but that’s just me not wanting to look a tool 😉

Exactly that Tango, with zero reading you have no drain when the bike is turned off. Perfect. IF you did put on side lights you would see maybe 2 – 3 amps displayed (assuming 2 x 5w bulbs for front and rear sides and a couple of bulbs lighting up the clocks).
@KK glad I could help out in a small way from here.

Looks great Tango, just lose that tool roll and you’re good to go.

Your battery will still settle around 12.6 probably. I wouldn’t be too concerned at the drop after a charge up.
To check for drain you could use a meter on a amps range and put it between the battery and positive lead (i.e. disconnect the positive lead and connect one side of the tester to the lead and the other side to the battery). Do not start…[Read more] -

I am going to take a guess here that the Passport office website will be on a .gov site and not a .co.uk or .com etc. So watch out for anything other than .gov for anything to do with the government (passport, licences, tax and such).

Nice write up Michael, a little mashed by Google translate but can get the gist of it and it covers what needs to be done to get the starter working.

Should be giving a voltage across the two wires to feed the coil. Again I’d be satisfied with close enough as far as the ohms across a coil, and shouldn’t you be checking between the two, i.e. one probe on one end of the coil, and one on the other.

Hey guys, don’t give up. I’ve had my fair share of problems when I got mine. The forks were bent, the fork yokes were bent when they were done and the brake unsiezed I got it MOTd. It blew the ignition coil on the first ride, and only 2 miles from home. When it was running again it ran for around 5 miles and the lights dimmed. I had to push it the…[Read more]

testSubscriber replied to the topic Battery?/Charging Problem? in the forum How To Fix It 10 years, 2 months ago
If you’re using the B4 book things will be different from a B2. If your regulator isn’t working correctly you won’t charge correctly and could blow bulbs (as the neutral light is probably the only one on then that would go first).
Your manual says there should be a different reading across the coils from what you’re getting, but as long as it’s…[Read more] -

That checks out just fine Tango. The coils are all connected together at one end and not to earth, and as they are long single wires in each coil you should have very little resistance between each pin.
