Hello and welcome threecrosscustoms
That’s a very interesting build you have there. Did you buy it that way or have you built it yourself?
Enjoy the site and feel free to contribute or ask away with any questions you have.
Cheers for now

Hey Marko welcome back. Has it really been 3 years?
Your S1 still looks very tidy and shouldn’t take too much restoring. Hope your liking the New Look site.
Keep us posted on your adventures, I have missed them.

Hello Jack
I have found a spoked rear wheel for you from a B model. It has a good hub but the spokes and rim are poor condition. I can look at sending the full wheel or just the hub, that is up to you. It might be worth while speaking to the person who will respoke it for you as I have found here they like the full wheel then they can get the…[Read more]

That’s a good point Michael. We are currently looking into getting new springs manufactured. I will keep everyone updated of any progress.

That is looking very nice Michael. I must admit I struggle to take my eyes away from your garage setup. I am not jealous honestly.
Can’t wait to see the finished bike

Hello Jack
It is good news you have a B1. I can probably help with a rear wheel. I have quite a few wheels but it would need to be refurbished. Also it might be better for me to find just a hub as postage would be much cheaper. I will look this weekend.

Hi David
I believe the JBM diaphrams work well but I have not tried them myself. There was one of the German members who was making carb rubbers for the 34mm carbs. I will make enquiries and get back to you.
One other way of sorting the airbox to carb rubbers is to use universal car steering rack gaiters and cut them down to suit. -

There is no need to apologise for any spelling.
The screw indicated is the fuel mixture screw and NOT for setting the idle speed. It determines the mixture of fuel and air that comes out if the carbs. Idle speed is set by adjusting the bigger wheel screw position underneath the carbs towards the back.
To adjust the mixture each carb will need…[Read more]

Hi David
Do not despare. I am sure we can help. My first thought is the fuel ‘varnishing’ with being stood over winter. Ultrasonic cleaning would solve that problem. The issue is definately fuel starvation on the pilot jets. This could be for several reasons with varnishing being one. Assuming the pilot jets are good and the right size the 2nd…[Read more] -

Hello Jack and welcome.
The picture shows your twin in B1 colours. B1’s can be 1976 or 1977. We can confirm which model you have from the frame number.
Enjoy the site and feel free to post some pictures. -

Hello and welcome PaulD
You are indeed a lucky boy. What condition is the bike in and how original is it? If you have any pictures please post them. Whereabouts are you from? When these bikes are set up and running properly there is very little that goes wrong as long as you look after them. Keep on top of the servicing and she will serve you…[Read more]

Hi there
CSR brake calipers are still quite easy to find. I can probably dig one out if you need one, just let me know.

Kaptainkwak replied to the topic AIR BOX TO CARB RUBBERS 34 & 38mm in the forum Bike Related Sales and Wants 6 years, 9 months ago
Hi
I know the rubbers were made for the 38mm carbs but I don’t think there was enough interest for the 34mm carbs. I have a source for the 38mm. I also know of a way round for both. You can use Universal car steering rack gaiters and cut them down accordingly and at around £10 a pair here it is an inexpensive way of solving the problem.

Unfortunately the B4 harness will not fit. There are substantial wiring differences including switch gear and CDI unit to name a couple. Also if memory serves me right there is a side stand cutout on the K1.
There isn’t much else if anything that’s interchangeable.
I wish shipping was more favourable as I would be very interested in B4…[Read more]

Hello KZCrazyinColoradr and welcome.
They look like 3 nice bikes there a CSR, B4 and K1 belt drive and what a bargain price!!! Do you plan to restore them all? Sadly if not you may find a few issues with interchangeability of parts. All 3 have different frames and engines. Some parts will interchange and other parts may with a little fettling.…[Read more]

Hiya KZCrazyinColorado
I believe you have more than one issue here.
Firstly the starting.
I have had this issue. In my case it happened mainly when the bike had been stood for a period of time. All the models after the G have vacuum petrol taps and (with exception of the K models) they only have a side stand. This means that with the bike…[Read more] -

Hi kzbobber and welcome to the site.
We are a quiet community as most websites go but full of help and knowledge.
I will have to check but more than likely I will have spare cam caps. Which numbers are you looking for and whereabouts in the UK are you?
Cheers
