Of course the only problem with it being a 4 is the sound, feel and basic grunt gets lost. Simply remodelling the crank both camshafts and the ignition could fix all that. I’ll get me coat.
Hey Snakey, nice bike. I think one bike that runs and a shed full of rusting bits is about par for the course round here 😀 I used to find that threatening a teenager with a tape of her singing wheels on the bus when she was 3 shut her up a treat.
I think it’s a bit odd that people have chopped, bobbed, trailed, caféd and even rodded these bikes, but a simple set of downpipes has defeated all but Predator and MAC (hint, don’t get the MAC ones, a can of Stella has better metal).
Doubtless Michael will be along shortly to show us where to get a lovely set for more Euros than it costs to get to Greece on a punctured Rib.
That Swarbrick link is new to me, and looks damn promising. Nice one. I’ve got a set of Predators gathering dust. They’re in decent nick but I’ll need to find a way to get my replacement set clear of my centrestand first. But give us a msg if desperate.

Yeah right, bit upset about that. Not sure I could do the full overland deal, but well up for Part 1 when it’s sorted.
So there I was with a huuuuge box containing a whole proper (2:2 with balance pipe 😛 ) exhaust system but no collets or gaskets to fit it. But I remembered this post and voila, jobs a good’un. While I was at it, got a couple of gaskets too. Sometime ebay is the ONLY way. I did do the decent thing, went to my local old bloke in a back street shop, but he said he hadn’t seen any of those for years.
I would just like to say that I am extremely jealous of the number of people who went. I’d like to make a point of being at the next Treffen, no matter where or when. Life’s too short not to do these things.

Yep, not my kinda thing, but I saw a chop the other day with mirrors hanging down from the bars so he was looking back under his armpits 🙂 It looked a lot cooler than it sounds!
Always wondered what that ADS label was for. I had to take adblock off to see them. Interesting that the ebay ad seems to be using my saved searches.
I’ve just bought an exhaust system, so there may be a Predator up for grabs soon. I’m a little further from Preston though, but may be up Kwaks way sometime soon.
