Hi Lonesome Twins,
can’t find my recent posts related to “Vienna”, my race-twin 😉
Was on a narrow racetrack for four days. Two days of instructor training, another day with three coaching-turns, means 3x 15 minutes with an experienced racer, who showed me how to ride a bike properly. My declared goal was to touch the tarmac with my knees and I…[Read more] -

Hi Kurt,
good looking B and interesting wheels.
We had a trip to Norway in June 2016.
Four people, four Twins, four weeks.
Nice country and nice people 😉
Best regards from Germany,
Michael

Hi Mark,
welcome !On the german Twin website there is a story about the starter clutch repair with a lot of pics.
https://www.z750twin.de/anlasserfreilauf.htmBe aware that the “body” of the starter clutch may have a crack. It is hard to see, because the metal sheet cover sits over it. Check carefully, the crack is often right there, where the…[Read more]

Hi Lonesome Twins,
some of you are looking for more power out of the Twin ?
Me too !One thing is essential for that and that is a modified intake camshaft.
Some of you know already, that the exhaust camshaft can be modified easily and used as intake camshaft. It is working but not perfect. My plan is to get five (5) intake camshafts produced,…[Read more]

Hi Marko,
I prefer the VESRAH gasket sets. Not always easy to get, around 80,- Euros and pay attention to order the one for the LTD, not the B ones. It is about different gaskets of these models.
I don’t use the Athena stuff.
In the last time a no-namegasket-set shows up in the market. Haven’t tested it, but had it in my hands. Well, looks…[Read more] -

Hi there,
the HIFLO HF126 or the K+N KN-126 are the correct ones for the Twins.
Cheers, Michael
PS: Pay attention to the flat washer between inside rubber ring of the oil filter and the spring.

Well, earlier posted pics are not visible anymore.
Ok, new ones 😉
The “black” pics were taken by a professional photographer at an event in 2018:Changed the location to my barn and took a photo by myself just a few days ago.
I’ve swapped the exhaust and need to make a nicer holder for it.In Germany that swap needs to be TÃœV approved,…[Read more]

New wheels arrived incl. new tires.
Fitted the perforated brake discs right away to have a glance on that.
I’m very pleased 😉Currently working on the front brakes and front fork.
Calipers and holders completely dismantled, sand blasted (calipers outside only) and sprayed with VHT caliper paint in satin black. It’s not the finished look, just…[Read more] -

Hi David,
to put a complete carburetor in an ultrasonic bath isn’t the correct way to handle that.
At least the top cover and slide with membrane and the fuel float bowl shall be removed.
Bad starting and idling is often caused by a clogged pilot jet (#45?).
You may remove it from the carb body and clean it manually.
Have you seen the carb…[Read more]

Hi David,
besides carb issues, bad idling can be caused by loose springs in the ignition timing advancer.
Just remove the ignition cover and turn the advancer with a lot of feeling. It shouldn’t have any play in rotation direction, as the two small springs turn it back to the starting point. If you can turn it just a little bit without any force…[Read more]

Hi Lonesome Twins,
I am currently working on a B2 project. It was a no-runner in bad condition.
My uncle Hubertus bought the bike and gave it to me to restore it.
It has to have clip-ons, recessed foot peds and has to look nice.Well, this winter I’ve started with rebuilding another engine, a B3 one.
Nice paint, several new parts from CMSNL, a…[Read more] -

Hi David,
good to see you here and Andy supporting you 😉
I have good news for you both and all the other LTD-riders.
