Hi Michael,
this time we passed three of those passes (Sella, Pordoi and Campolongo), and I haven’t seen any such signs. The “Sellaronda Bike day” was on Saturday, so the road was open only for cyclists on that day, and a lot of people were practicing already on Friday when we were there.
I heard that some people are complaining about the…[Read more]

Hi guys!
I spent last weekend with my son in the Dolomites, not with a Twin but with a car. Nevertheless, it was great and it is definitely one of the best destinations to travel with a motorcycle (or a car), truly spectacular roads and scenery. Here are some photos, if you need any fresh information about the roads, just ask.
Cheers,
MarkoThe…[Read more]

That is a great idea. I didn’t know they did heat shrink that big. Just for information you can still get these parts new. There are some available here in the UK and also one of the Germans has manufactured. That being said it’s a great idea and can probably be used on other things too.
Cheers for sharing

She looked tired when you got her but now starting to look like an impressive restoration.
Well done and hopefully you will be up and running soon.

Hi KzKon and welcome to the site.
There isn’t a lot of Kawasaki 750 twin action on the web but as well as this site there is also a German site http://www.z750twin.de which is run by Michael who is also a member on here. If you copy the link and past it into google chrome you can use the built in translator.
I hope you get what you need from…[Read more]

I will check the connections over the weekend, maybe I will find the solution. I suppose there is also a possibility that the petcock is not functioning properly anymore.
Cheers, Marko

The petcock is vacuum operated. When the tap is set to ON or RES and the engine is running a vacuum is created by the carbs via pipes from the petcock which opens a diaphragm and lets the fuel flow. When the petcock is in PRI position this bypasses the need for the vacuum.
It is my thoughts the vacuum pipes have not been correctly installed. Th…[Read more]

Thanks KK!
I haven’t fix the starter clutch yet and I am not sure what has gone wrong with petcock valve, it worked fine before the “restoration”. At the moment, the fuel is not passing through when the valve is at “ON”, so when the engine is running, I have to put the valve at “PRI”. Is it possible that we connected the pipes wrongly or…[Read more]

A number of things could cause the issue. It could be mixtures not set right, blocked or incorrect jets, incorrect float levels or carb balancing for starters.
Have you removed and cleaned the carbs?

Whay electrical issues are you having?
Your not to far away from my sister in Camberley.

Hi KawaKurt
My apologise for such a late reply but I have been away.
This does look like you are burning to much fuel which could be several reasons, all relating to the carbs.
The first thing I would check is that the choke is working correctly. A choke stuck on could cause this. Secondly I would check the fuel mixtures are correct.
If not a…[Read more]
